    • Objective: To encourage minority students to pursue higher education.
    • Eligibility:

      • Income Limit: The family’s annual income must be ₹6 lakh or less.
      • ​A minimum of 50% marks in the previous examination is required.
    • Benefit: Annual scholarship amount ranges from ₹5,000/- to ₹25,000/-, depending on the course.
  • Centrally Sponsored ‘Merit-cum-Means’ Scholarship: For students pursuing technical and professional courses (e.g., Engineering, Medical).
    • Income Limit: The family’s annual income must be less than ₹2.50 lakh.
  • Application Process: Applications for these scholarships must be submitted online through the ‘MahaDBT’ portal or the ‘National Scholarship Portal (NSP)’.

2. Grant Schemes for Educational Institutions:

  • Objective: To provide financial assistance to minority-dominated educational institutions (where over 70% of students are minorities, such as schools, junior colleges, ITIs) for infrastructure development (e.g., building repairs, library, laboratory, furniture, computer lab).
  • Application: Applications must be submitted through the respective District Collector’s office as per the published advertisements.

3. Area Development Program Scheme:

  • Objective: To provide basic/primary facilities in minority-dominated urban and rural areas (e.g., roads, drinking water, street lights, repair of crematoriums/graveyards, community halls).
  • Eligibility: Funding is allocated to local self-government bodies (Municipal Corporations/Councils/Gram Panchayats) where the minority population is at least 10% or more than 100 people.
  • Application: The proposal is submitted by the local self-government body to the government through the District Collector’s office.
